Writing an application that gets read

Three sentences beats three paragraphs. Here's the shape that works.

§VI · Campaigns & applications

Editors read every application. Three sentences beats three paragraphs. The shape that works:

  1. 01One sentence on why this brief specifically — not a generic pitch
  2. 02One sentence with concrete past work that's relevant
  3. 03One sentence with a small, specific idea you'd bring to it

Polish hurts here. Specificity helps. Editors are looking for the application that reads like it was written for this brief, not pasted from a template.
