What "petition pending / approved / declined" means

Pending

Your application is in queue. The editor sees applications in the order they arrive. Most decisions land within forty-eight hours of the brief closing.

Approved

You've been selected for the campaign. A contract draft is sent to your email; the publishing window opens once you counter-sign.

Declined

Not selected this round. Most decline notes include a specific reason — read it; it's how the desk says "come back for one with this fit instead."
