Identity verification — why your payout email must match
We pay the same person who signed the campaign — verified through a Gmail-account match. Here's how it works.
§VIII · Earnings & payouts
Before your first withdrawal, we verify that the person being paid is the person who signed the campaign. The mechanism is simple: connect a Gmail account that matches the email on your campaign sign-off, and we use Google's OAuth to confirm you control it.
Why this matters
- Account-takeover prevention — a stolen Nexus password can't redirect your earnings to an attacker's PayPal
- Tax compliance — paying the actual creator, not someone using their name
- Brand confidence — brands know their campaign payouts go to the creator they commissioned
What happens if you can't match
If your campaign email and your withdrawal email aren't the same Gmail, write to support — we'll do a manual verification (typically a video confirmation with the editor) and unlock the withdrawal once it clears.
